Reshuffle in bureaucracy

ISLAMABAD, Nov 30: The federal government on Tuesday transferred four additional secretaries and appointed two joint secretaries in various ministries and departments, a source told Dawn.

Raja Raza Arshad, a BS-21 officer of the Secretariat Group who was working as the additional secretary in the ministry of environment, has been transferred to the ministry of education on the same post.

Rukhsana Jabbar Memon, a BS-21 officer of Accounts Group presently working as the deputy auditor general, has been posted as additional secretary in the ministry of environment in place of Mr Arshad.

Shaukat Durrani, a BS-21 officer at the Prime Minister Secretariat, has been transferred to the ministry of petroleum and natural resources as the additional secretary. Tanveer Abbas Jafri, a BS-21 officer working as additional secretary in the ministry of finance, has been posted at the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

Arifa Sabohi, a grade-19 officer presently serving to the Punjab government, has been appointed as the joint secretary in the ministry of industries and production. Another grade-19 officer in the Establishment Division, Allah Rakha Aasi, has been posted as the joint secretary in the ministry of finance.
