TOBA TEK INGH: Case against SHO, others ordered

By Our Correspondent

TOBA TEK SINGH, Nov 30: Additional District and Sessions Judge Ghulam Sarwar Qadri on Tuesday ordered registration of a murder case against Rajana SHO and other policemen for killing a villager in an encounter.

Reports said Muhammad Afzal Gadhi of Chak 259-GB had filed a petition with the court alleging that his brother Nawaz Gadhi was arrested by SHO Aslam Niazi, SI Muhammad Yar, ASI Ijaz Ahmad and other policemen in connivance with his opponents in a bogus case.

He said they severely tortured him in Rajana police station and later handed him over to Toba Tek Singh SHO Naveed Irshad who allegedly killed Nawaz in a fake encounter.
