ISLAMABAD, Nov 28: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Sunday directed the labour, manpower and overseas Pakistanis ministry to provide best possible facilities to expatriates and export more manpower.

Talking to Minister of State for Overseas Pakistan Senator Tariq Azeem, who had called on him at Prime Minister's House, Mr Aziz said expatriate Pakistanis were the real asset of the country and efforts should be made to provide them maximum facilities.

He said Pakistanis working abroad were contributing positively to the economy and providing more than Rs4 billion every year to national exchequer. He highlighted the importance of professional and skills training and directed the minister to pay due attention to the sector.

The prime minister said there was a need to fill the gap created by the shortage of skilled manpower to meet the requirements within and outside the country. The minister said measures had been taken for the improvement of the working of the ministry. -APP
