KARACHI: 16 robberies committed in city

KARACHI, Nov 27: Robbers had a field day on Saturday as 16 robberies were committed in various parts of the metropolis without facing any resistance.

Bandits forced their entry into the house of Abdul Latif in New Karachi, held the family hostage at gunpoint, and fled away with jewellery, Rs30,000, 1,500 Saudi Riyals, and other valuables.

Robbers invaded the house of Nazakat in Sir Syed police limits in North Karachi, and fled with cash, jewellery and valuables after taking the family at gunpoint.

Dacoits raided the house of Gul Hasan in Ibrahim Hyderi police limits and made off with jewellery, cash, and valuables.

Five bandits entered the house of Khalid Pervez in Gulshan-i-Iqbal in Aziz Bhatti police limits, and looted Rs50,000, jewellery, a mobile phone.

Muggers intercepted Syed Mujahid in Pirabad police limits and snatched Rs33,000 and a mobile phone.

Hoodlums intercepted Irshad Ahmed in SITE, and deprived him of his car, cash, and other belongings. Bandits entered the house of Bashir Ahmed in Korangi, held its occupants at gunpoint, and made off with Rs100,000, jewellery and valuables.

Five robbers broke into the house of Ishaque in Clifton within the police limits of Boat Basin, and decamped with Rs240,000 and valuables.
