Police sources said that some bandits entered the house of Abdullah, 27, a junk dealer near Eidgah ground in Quaidabad. The bandits shot him and fled after Abdullah put up resistance. Abdullah was taken by the area people to the police station concerned to obtain a referral letter for a medico-legal officer.

The sources added that the police officials started inquiring details of the incident from Abdullah, while blood was oozing from his wound. When Abdullah fainted, he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
