KARACHI, Nov 26: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal leaders, in a meeting held at Sindh Home department on Friday endorsing the code of conduct for the public meeting to be held at Nsihtar Park on Nov 28 , have assured the government of their full cooperation.

The MMA leaders, Hafiz Mohammad Taqi, Allama Hasan Turabi, Khan Mohammad Rabbani, Rafiq Ahmed, Nasarullah Shaji and Mohammad Hussain Mehanti signed the code of conduct in the presence of Sindh IGP Syed Kamal Shah, Home Secretary Ghulam Mohammad Mohtaram, CCPO and DIG Operations, representing the provincial government.

The IGP, on the occasion, asked the MMA leaders to nominate volunteers so that they could be involved in security arrangements for the meeting, and to note suspicious persons.

He assured the meeting that fool-proof security steps would be taken for the meeting, under which pickets would be set up at the buildings surrounding the Nishtar Park, besides bomb-disposal, screening and search arrangements at the meeting venue. -PPI
