Saleh bounces back
KARACHI, Nov 25: Saleh Mohammed bounced back after the third round loss when he won his fourth league match on Thursday against Mario Weerhaman of South Africa 4-1 frames in 30th edition of World IBSF Snooker Championship 2004
at Veldhoven, Holland.
Pakistan No 2 Saleh who lost his third round match against Gavin Pantall from Wales 1-4 frames on Wednesday after winning first two matches, regained his form as he outclassed Mario.
According to the details, Saleh after losing the first frame 46-75 started playing his natural game with confidence and fought back strongly by taking the second frame 76-67 thus leveling 1-1.
Playing with better frame of mind and taking advantage of his opponent's mistakes, Saleh got back into the match by taking the lead of 2-1 frames by winning the third 59-50. The fourth game saw some amazing display of skills by both the cueists but it was Saleh who again emerged winner 63-51.
Saleh knowing that he was on the safe side and little to lose played with all his experience and expertise and with a break of 73 took the fifth frame in his fold 73-0. Other cueist competing from Pakistan, Khurram Aga, was due to meet Artrass Elvander in the fourth session on Thursday night. -Agencies
