Nawaz greets Benazir

ISLAMABAD, Nov 24: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday called Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Benazir Bhutto from Jeddah and greeted her on the release of her spouse Asif Ali Zardari, a statement issued by PPP media cell here today said.

The former prime minister expressed his happiness over the release of Mr Zardari and said that he had also phoned the former senator to felicitate him on his release.

The two former prime ministers also exchanged views on the current political situation in the country, it added.
