QUETTA, Nov 24: Three persons were injured when a bomb exploded in front of the Sariab police station here on Wednesday night. Some people had planted the bomb under a truck that was parked at the main Sariab Road in front of the police station.

The truck had been impounded by the police 10 days ago, sources said. The explosion occurred at around 9pm. Two other vehicles parked near the police station were damaged after being hit by flying debris.

Three persons passing through the road were injured. They were identified as Dr Yousuf, Abdullah and Bahauddin. The area was later cordoned off by police and local administration personnel, allowing the bomb disposal squad to comb the area.

Meanwhile, a Frontier Corps check-post was destroyed in the Bagh Ali area near Pat Feeder after it was hit by six rockets on Wednesday evening. However, no causality was reported in the attack.
