Cases against Asif not closed: NAB

ISLAMABAD, Nov 23: The National Accountability Bureau on Tuesday said that NAB had not dropped any corruption case against former PPP senator Asif Ali Zardari.

"No case has been closed against Asif Zardari, we will continue to pursue cases (of corruption) and hearings will take place," a National Accountability Bureau spokesman told newsmen at a briefing about a regional conference on combating corruption.

The NAB spokesman said Mr Zardari had been acquitted in just one case - Pakistan Steel Mills - and the appeal against the verdict was pending in the court. -APP
