SHIKARPUR, Nov 23: Activists of the People's Party Parliamentarians, holding burning candles in their hands, took out a procession here on Tuesday to celebrate release of Asif Ali Zardari.

Led by Aftab Shahban Mirani, the procession started from the Mirani house and after marching on main roads terminated at the Lakhi Gate roundabout where the participants held a demonstration.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Mirani thanked the Supreme Court for granting bail to Mr Zardari and called upon the government to withdraw 'false' cases against him and Benazir Bhutto. The PPP workers also held gatherings in Shikarpur and other parts of the district and distributed sweets to celebrate release of Mr Zardari.

SANGHAR: Activists of the People's Party Parliamentarians celebrated the release of Asif Ali Zardari after eight years in the district on Tuesday. They distributed sweets and took out processions almost in all the towns of the district including Tando Adam, Shahdadpur, Khipro and Shahpur Chakar.

In Tando Adam, more than 1,000 PPP activists gathered at Berani Chowk and after marching on different roads reached the local press club. Speaking on the occasion, Taluka Nazim Lala Ayub Pathan, Faraz Dero, Jawed Baloch and others said that Mr Zardari had been released without any deal with the government because the PPP believed in principles.

They added that the Supreme Court's decision indicated that Mr Zardari was innocent and had been implicated in false cases. Hundreds of PPP activists left for Bilawal House, Karachi, to congratulate Mr Zardari on his release.

NAWABSHAH: Activists of the Sindh People's Students Federation, Quaid-i-Awam University unit, here on Tuesday took out a rally to celebrate the release of Mr Zardari. The rally started from the B-sector and terminated at Naya Naka. SPSF unit president Noor Nawaz Zardari and Mohammad Ayub Rind said that the release of Asif Zardari was victory of justice.

LARKANA: Leaders and activists of the People's Party Parliamentarians celebrated the release of Asif Ali Zardari on bail here on Monday. MNA Mohammad Anwar Bhutto, Larkana city PPP president Aftab Bhutto and other leaders gathered at the main party office and distributed sweets. They later took out a procession up to the local press club. Processions were also taken out by PPP activists in different parts of Larkana.
