VEHARI: Three killed in accident

VEHARI, Nov 23: Three people, including two real brothers, were killed and eight others sustained injuries in a road accident here on Tuesday on the Vehari-Burewala Road near Kusamsar stop, some 15km from here.

Reports said a Faisalabad-bound passenger bus (PK-7976) in a bid to save a donkey cart collided with a cash van (KH-4353) coming from the opposite direction. As a result, van driver Mubarik Ali of 24/SP and Roshan Badsha and Islam Badsha of Mitha Khail area died on the spot. The injured were identified as Akhter, Rasheed and Mulazim.

Seven people, including four women, were injured in a road accident on Monday night on the Vehari-Multan Road. Reports said a van (MNH-4005) was coming from Multan. Near Chitti Pulli stop, it collided with a car (LXP-2516) while saving a donkey cart as a result seven passengers sustained injuries.

The injured identified as Sabir Ali, Akram, Abdul Rasheed, Gulnar Bibi, Samina, Saleem and Safia Mai were admitted to the DHQ hospital. The drivers of the car and van managed to escape.
