MULTAN: Five killed in two accidents

MULTAN, Nov 22: Five people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed while as many sustained injuries in two accidents here on Monday. A wagon (MNL-4855) was on way to Shah Jamal , Muzaffargarh district when it collided head-on with a bus (1331-DIKhan) near Sher Shah in Multan.

As a result, wagon passenger Saeeda Begum and her three-year-old daughter Farwa sustained critical injuries. Farwa died on the spot while her mother succumbed to her injuries at the Nishter Hospital. Five more passengers of the wagon were admitted to the hospital.

They were identified as Abdul Ghaffar, Gul Khan, Muhammad Waseem, Mazhar Saeed and Muhammad Asim. Drivers of both the vehicles fled. In the second incident, Abdul Rehman of Layyah district was returning on his oil tanker (LXC-5269) from Changa Manga. Near Qadirpur, it rammed into a tree killing Abdul Rehman and his two sons on the spot.
