LAHORE, Nov 20: A PML-N legislator has welcomed Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz's invitation to opposition parties for talks on various issues. In a press statement here on Saturday, MNA Pervaiz Malik said the government should change its policy
and work for the respect and supremacy of parliament and the constitution.
He said steps like changing the constitutional provision through a simple legislation or bulldozing the opposition were not conducive to normalization of relations with opposition parties.
The talks invitation, the PML-N leader said, would be nothing more than an eyewash if the prime minister did not rise above the party politics or did not change stand on various issues.
About the opposition plans to go for agitation, Mr Malik said it was a protest at the government's disrespect to the agreements and promises.
