Yasir gets wild card

ISLAMABAD, Nov 19: Mansoor Zaman has been drawn to meet 9th seed Englishman James Willstrop in the main round of the $65,000 Pakistan Open squash championship due to begin here from Dec 2.

World No. 84, Yasir Butt on the other hand has been given a wild card and will be up against 3rd seed Nick Matthew of England in his opening match. David Palmer of Australia is the top seed for the championship that will take place at the Mushaf Squash Complex.

Among other players in the main draw are: Egyptians Amr Shabana and Mohammad Abbas, second seed John White of Scotland, Canadian Jonathan Power and Frenchman Gregory Gaulter. Eight places in the main draw of 32 are to be filled by qualifiers.
