Movement for democracy soon: Khuhro

By Our Correspondent

DADU, Nov 19: Opposition leader in the Sindh assembly, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, has said that the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy will launch a movement against the Musharraf government and for the restoration of democracy in the country.

Talking to newsmen here on Thursday night, he alleged that the government had changed the results and declared its favourites elected in the local bodies and the general elections.

He said this was not the democratic system where an all powerful man was president together with the chief of army staff. He said Gen Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz were not political persons, therefore, they were following anti-poor polices.

He said that Kalabagh dam and greater Thal canal were anti-Sindh projects and the federal government was trying to destroy agricultural sector of Sindh through construction of these projects. MPA Ayaz Soomro and MNA Rafique Jamali were also present on the occasion.

TEACHERS: Primary teachers boycotted their classes in Dadu district on Friday in protest against non-payment of salaries to 58 primary teachers appointed on the deceased quota.
