PML govt has put country on road to progress: CM

LAHORE, Nov 17: Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi said here on Wednesday the PML government had put the country on road to progress and the party's reorganization at the grassroots level had ensured people's participation in the welfare-oriented programme.

He was talking to PML secretary general Senator Mushahid Husain and central leader Hamid Nasir Chattha, Senator Dilawar Husain and federal ministers Wasi Zafar and Mushtaq Cheema here.

The chief minister said the PML was capable of tackling all challenges, and the top priority of its government was to eliminate poverty and unemployment. He said the government had activated all departments concerned for providing equal opportunities of development to all areas in the province.

The chief minister said the PML government was playing a pivotal role in the promotion of unity, solution of common man's issues and supremacy of law. He said administrative capabilities of all departments were being enhanced to accelerate pace of the overall development in the province. The government was also ensuring fulfilling all its promises made to the people.

Meanwhile, the chief minister went to the residence of PML Women Wing vice-president MPA Dr Anjum Amjad to condole the death of her father, former IGP Sardar Muhammad Chaudhry. He offered fateha and condoled with his son Haroon Aziz and son-in-law Dr Muhammad Amjad.
