DADU, Nov 17: 'A diagnostic and research laboratory, a girls' hostel and an administration block in the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences have been constructed with the efforts of its vice-chancellor but some elements have been creating problems for the university administration.'

This was stated by Dadu District Nazim Malik Asad Sikandar while talking to different delegations of medical students, doctors and nazims at his residence here on Wednesday.

He regretted that funds had not been allocated for carrying out further development in the university and added that the district government had allocated funds for scholarships to its students.

He said that he would meet President Gen Pervez Musharraf and request him to allocate more funds for the schemes of the LUMHS. The district nazim said that graduates of the LUMHS had earned name due to good education and practice.

He said that the employees of the LUMHS were facing problems including those of gas, sanitation and drainage in the residential colony which would be solved and the district government would pay its gas dues. He said that he had directed the DCO to initiate an inquiry into the fake domiciles issued in Dadu district.
