Nine killed in Kashmir


SRINAGAR, Nov 16: Suspected militants shot dead nine civilians in four separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Tuesday.

On Tuesday afternoon three civilians were killed in separate incidents in Kashmir's capital Srinagar, in Naugam in the state's eastern Budgam district, and in Shopian in south Kashmir, police said.

Late on Monday militants shot dead six members of a family in the Magam area of Budgam district. Police claimed the militants belonged to the banned Hizbul Mujahideen group.-dpa
