3,000 Sikh pilgrims to visit Pakistan


ISLAMABAD, Nov 16: At least 3,000 Sikh pilgrims will visit Pakistan to observe the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak between Nov 21 and Nov 30.

They would travel by three special trains arranged by Pakistan Railway from Amritsar on Nov 21, said Paramjit Singh Chandhok, general secretary of the National Sikh Organisation of India.

Besides taking part in the anniversary celebrations falling on Nov 26, the pilgrims would also visit two other gurdwaras in Rawalpindi and Lahore.

They would return home on Nov 30, said a report by the Press Trust of India news agency.-PPI
