Living standard of masses to be improved, says Aziz

ISLAMABAD, Nov 16: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said on Monday the government was making sincere efforts to improve the living standard of the masses.

He stated this during a meeting with the 29-member delegation from Hassanabdal, Attock district here at the Prime Minister House.

The prime minister said special efforts were in-hand to provide basic amenities of life, including drinking water, health, hygiene and education to the masses.

He said the government fully believed in practical steps instead of making mere claims.

Mr Aziz said during his address to the nation on Friday (Nov 19) he would unveil comprehensive welfare plan for generating employment opportunities, provision of quick justice, police reforms and development schemes.

He said soon a branch of Khushhali Bank would be opened in Hassanabdal while a number of other development schemes were under consideration for the uplift of the area.

He said the commitments made to the people would be honoured as soon as possible.-APP
