SUKKUR, Nov 16: Four people, three of them Frontier Works Organization staff, were killed when a jeep and coach collided on the National Highway on the Eid day.

The FWO personnel were on their way from the Pano Akil Cantonment when reached the National Highway, a Karachi-bound coach (GB-78288) hit their jeep as a result four people were killed.

They were identified as FWO personnel Ghulam Mustafa, Arshad Mehmood, Saadat Ali and a passenger, Fayaz Ahmed.

The jeep was damaged completely after the accident while police arrested the coach driver and impounded the vehicle.

The dead bodies of the deceased personnel were sent to their native places.

KILLED: A man was axed to death over a matrimonial dispute in Channa Muhallo, the Saddar police station area, Jacobabad district, on the second day of Eid.

Ghulam Hussain, son of Shadan Manganhar, was on his way to home when three armed men killed him and fled.

Police took away the body for post-mortem and later handed over to the relatives.

A case was registered against Mirza, Baqa Mohammad and Mir Hassan Domki, but no arrest was reported.

INJURED: Two motorcyclists were injured by armed men when they offered resistance to them near Reharki, Ghotki district, on Monday night.
