Aziz vows to restore peace in NWFP

ISLAMABAD, Nov 11: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has reiterated the government's resolve to restore peace and tranquillity in NWFP.

The prime minister was talking to the NWFP governor, Lt-Gen (retired) Iftikhar Hussain Shah, at the PM's House, says a press release issued here on Thursday.

During the meeting, Mr Aziz directed the governor to indicate development projects that could be started immediately in the province, especially in the tribal areas, to enhance literacy and provide basic health facilities to the common man.

He also asked the governor about the use of special development fund for tribal areas.
