KARACHI, Nov 11: The acting principal of Government Science and Commerce Degree College, Gulshan-I-Iqbal on Thursday demanded the DO Colleges , city government to initiate a probe into an incident in which some college lecturers and an outsider made threats against her and used derogatory language for not accepting their demands.

In a letter to the DO Colleges, Mahjabeen Shahrayar, who is currently serving as acting principal of the above-mentioned college at Gulshan-i-Iqbal, alleged that some lecturers along with Dr Fahim Uddin entered her room on November 8, and threatened her of dire consequences if their demands were not met.

"Dr Fahim Uddin who introduced himself as the honorary adviser to the Sindh governor on education threatened me that I had used abusive against the government authority, which was enough for me to loose my job," she said, adding that they also used derogatory language against her for not accepting their demands.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association in a statement charged that Dr Fahim Uddin's misbehaviour with a female teacher.

He said if Dr Fahim Uddin and his accomplice were not arrested and punished, the SPLA will hold protest meetings in colleges on November 13.- PPI
