PESHAWAR, Nov 10: Federal State Minister for Water and Power, Engr Amir Muqam has said that economic policies of President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have put the country on track of development and prosperity.
"Vision 2025 is the clear proof of government's interest in economic development of the country," he added.
Mr Muqam expressed these views while addressing a huge public gathering held in Dargai (Malakand) in connection with the withdrawal of candidature by Mohammad Riaz Khan in favour of PML candidate, Salim Saifullah Khan in the coming by-elections of NA-35.
Mr Muqam said that by supporting Saifullah Khan people of Malakand were proving that they have rejected negative politics. They are supportive of government's policies and want development in their area, he added.
He said that comprehensive plan is being chalked out to provide facilities of electricity, gas and telephone to the people of the area.
Salim Saifullah Khan thanked Mohammad Riaz Khan for extending favour to him in by-elections.
UPLIFT PACKAGE: Provincial president of the Pakistan Muslim League Syed Agha Ali Shah has said that the prime minister will soon announce a special uplift package for the Malakand Agency.
This he said while talking to a PML delegation from Malakand here at the party's media centre on Wednesday.
He urged the people of Malakand to support PML candidate Salim Saifullah Khan for the NA-35 Malakand by-election because he was capable to put the agency on the track of development.
"The PML government is serving the people irrespective of political affiliation," he said, added that the success of the PML candidate would be a triumph of the whole Malakand Agency.-APP
