Kashmir dispute to be 'settled' soon

By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, Nov 10: Jamaatud Daawa Amir Prof Mohammad Saeed predicts settling of Kashmir dispute in the near future. Speaking at an iftar dinner here on Wednesday , he, however, said the conflict would be solved through jihad and not through the options being put forward by Gen Pervez Musharraf.

He said it were the sacrifices of Kashmiri Mujahideen that had set the stage to enable Gen Musharraf to suggest options on Kashmir.

He warned that the division of Kashmir would never be accepted by the Kashmiris and would be a historic blunder.

The Muslims in entire Kashmir were struggling for liberation from Indian occupation and they would never allow their lands to be handed over to the "Kuffar".

The iftar dinner was attended by PML-N leaders Sartaj Aziz, MNA Pervaiz Malik and Muhammad Mahdi, former Punjab governor Shahid Hamid, MPAs Ajasam Sharif, Ehsanullah Waqas, PML leader Akhtar Rasool, LHC Bar president Ahmad Awais, Allama Ain Ghain Karrarvi, Shia Political Party leader Naubahar Shah, former Punjab University VC Dr Rafiq Ahmad, Khaksar leader Hameeduddin Mashriqi and others.

Prof Saeed urged the Muslims to get united to save themselves as all anti-Muslim forces had joined hands to crush them.

He said Japan and US had given up their economic struggle for attacking Iraq, Europe and US had forgotten their competition for the sake of killing Muslims in the Middle East and Hindus and Zionists were collaborating to kill Kashmiris and Palestinians.

The US-led coalition, he said, was using media power to label Islam as terrorist and to malign Muslims.

He said Islam ensures rights of all sections of society, especially the non-Muslims. No Muslim ruler had ever committed state repression against the non-Muslims but on the other hand non-Muslim states were victimizing and exterminating innocent Muslims with impunity.
