LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Nov 10: One person was killed and two others were seriously injured in two incidents of robbery and vehicle snatching in Bara tehsil here on Monday.

Unidentified armed men killed a teenager, Ali Akbar, when he and his elder brother resisted a road robbery in Kajori-Malikdinkhel area. During the scuffle a robber was also injured, but he managed to escape.

In another incident, a pick-up driver, Khiyal Marjan, was severely beaten up by a criminal gang when he tried to foil the attempt of snatching his vehicle.

But when the outlaws were taking away the pick-up, Khasadar force near Arjali Khwar intercepted them and after an exchange of fire arrested a criminal, Sardar Khan, and seized the vehicle which was later handed over to its owner.

Meanwhile, unidentified men lifted a vehicle (Peshawar 8917) from the Akkakhel-Sheen Drang area in Bara tehsil. Owner of the vehicle, Shah Jehan Afridi, has registered a case with the Bara political authorities.
