JACOBABAD, Nov 10: A man and a woman were killed after being dubbed as karo and kari in Mir Hassan Khoso village of Jaafarabad district in Balochistan on Wednesday.
Punhoo Rind had come to Abdul Hakim as a guest where the host with his accomplices Qalandar Bux Rind and Wali Mohammad Rind allegedly shot him dead.
Later, they killed Ms Hirni, wife of Abdul Hakim, while she was in her home.
The accused fled after committing the double murder.
The dead bodies were taken to the Civil Hospital Jacobabad for post-mortem.
The brother of Punhoo, Noor Hassan Rind, denied the allegations of karo-kari and told police that he had gone there to collect his money from Abdul Hakim.
No FIR was registered till the filing of this report.
FIRE: Two general stores were gutted near the Shahbaz Airbase when a fire broke out in the Family Lane area on Wednesday morning.
All the items of the two shops were reduced to ashes.
The owner, Rafique Ahmed, said he had sustained a loss of Rs500,000. He blamed his relatives for setting ablaze the shops.
An FIR in this connection was registered against Nawaz Brohi and Sarwar Brohi at the Airport police.
