Suspect dies in Jeddah raid

RIYADH, Nov 9: One wanted person was killed and three others were arrested in Jeddah on Tuesday, said an official of the Saudi interior ministry.

The official said security forces stormed an apartment in the Al Jammah locality where four men were holed up. One person was caught but the others opened fire at the security forces, he added.

In the ensuing exchange of fire one suspect was killed and the others were taken into custody, one of them with wounds. Two security men were also slightly injured, he said. The security forces recovered machine guns and ammunition from the apartment.

Meanwhile, security forces raided a house in Riyadh on Sunday and arrested a wanted Yemeni national.
