By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Nov 9: Three people, including two activists of a religious party, were killed and four others wounded in a clash between two groups over the control of a mosque in Shah Faisal Colony late Tuesday night.

Town police officer of Shah Faisal Colony, Abdullah Shaikh, said that a clash between two religious groups took place at the Allahwali mosque in Block-5.

He said that some people set a shop on fire, but police intervened and prevented it from being completely burnt.

Police said that Khalid Mehmood, 27, and Kamran Manzoor, 23, died in the clash while four others were wounded.

A spokesman for the religious party claimed that Khalid and Kamran were members of their respective sector committees.

A passerby, Shahab, also died in the crossfire.

The wounded, Shafique, Nadeem, Amir, and Ashfaque Qadri, were taken to a hospital where the condition of Amir was stated to be serious.
