KABUL, Nov 8: Three Afghan soldiers were killed and two wounded in a night attack by suspected Taliban elements in southeast Afghanistan, a police chief said on Monday.
The deaths and injuries occurred when militants armed with machine guns and rockets attacked a checkpoint at Arghandab in Kandahar province on Sunday night, provincial police chief Khan Mohammad said.
"We suspect that they were Taliban," Mr Mohammad said.
