Two blasts rock Kalat

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Nov 7: The Kalat town was rocked on Sunday evening by two explosions. "Two powerful explosions occurred in the town without causing any casualty," Kalat Range DIG Ghulam Qadir Thebu told Dawn. He said a room of the tehsildar's office was damaged by one of the explosions.

The first blast occurred at around 8.05pm in officer's colony, spreading panic and forcing people to come out of their homes.

The second explosion took place about 35 minutes later near the office of the tehsildar. The roof of a room in the office collapsed, but no one was injured.

Windowpanes of homes in officer's colony and nearby government buildings smashed due to the blasts.

The levies have registered a case against unknown people.
