Devastating bowling by Iftikhar

Published November 6, 2004

LAHORE, Nov 5: Seven wickets for 75 by Iftikhar Anjum enabled Rawalpindi to force Hyderabad to follow-on on the third day of Quaid- i-Azam Trophy at Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad on Friday.

Hyderabad, who had to score 582 to earn lead, resumed first innings at 57 for two, but Iftikhar's deadly bowling skittled them out for 275 in 90 overs, despite a stubborn batting by Faisal Athar who scored 102 (10 fours, 175 balls).

Hyderabad in their second innings were 26 for one in 12 overs by the close of play, still needing 280 runs to avert an innings defeat.
