KARACHI, Nov 4: The following traffic arrangements will be made on the occasion of Shahadat of Hazrat Ali (RA) falling on Friday (Nov 5).

A procession will be taken out from Nishtar Park and passing through Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Father Jaminis Road, M.A. Jinnah Road, Mansfield Street, again M.A. Jinnah Road, Boulton Market, Rampat Rai, Nawab Mahabat Khanji Road will terminate at Hussainian Iranian.

As soon as the procession will start from Nishter Park at all traffic will be diverted to Bahadur Yar Jang Road from the junction of Jinnah Road and Dr Dawoodpota Road.

All Traffic on Bahadur Yar Yang Road from its junction with Dawoodpota Road up to its junction with Khan Bahadur Naqi Mohammed Khan Road shall flow one way.

All vehicular traffic coming from Nazimabad hall be diverted towards Zoological Gardens from Lasbella intersection.

All traffic coming from Liaquatabad will be diverted to Martin Road. These vehicles shall, however, be permitted to proceed to jail and then shall proceed via Jamshed Road to the junction of Dadabhoy Nooroji Road, Kashmir Road, Shahrah-i-Quaideen and will proceed toShahrae Faisal.

Similarly, all buses, mini-buses and other heavy vehicles approaching from the Stadium side Road shall proceed via new M.A. Jinnah Road. These vehicles shall be diverted to Dadabhoy Nooroji Road towards Kashmir Road from its junction with new M.A. Jinnah Road.

All trucks, mini-buses, buses, approaching from Superhighway side shall be diverted from Al-Azam Square towards Nazimabad Chowrangi No-2 and shall proceed along Hakim Ibne Sina Road, Estate Avenue Road, Shershah, Mauripur Road. For return journey these vehicles shall proceed on the same route.

Similarly, all buses minibuses and trucks approaching from National Highway side shall proceed via Rashid Minhas Road, Stadium Road, Sir Shah Mohammed Suleman Road, Nazimabad Chowrangi No 2 Hakim Ibne Sina Road. Habib Bank Chowk, Estate Avenue Road, Shershah, Mauripur Road. For return journey, these vehicles shall adopt the same route.

The car traffic shall not be permitted to proceed towards the route of the procession from Guru Mandir roundabout. These vehicles shall be diverted to Bahadur Yar Jang Road and again to Khan Bahadur Naqi Mohammed Khan and shall proceed via Nishter Road. Under no circumstances, the vehicles will be allowed to proceed towards Khan Bahadur Naqi, Mohammed Khan Road.

All traffic coming from Quaid-i-Azam mausoleum side along M.A. Jinnah Road will be diverted towards Bahadur Yar Jang Road. No vehicular traffic shall be permitted to proceed towards Old Exhibition under any circumstances.

All vehicular traffic approaching Old Exhibition via Shahrah-i-Quaideen (except those arriving for participating in the procession having stickers pasted on their wide-screens issued from this office) shall be permitted to proceed from the roundabout behind the mausoleum towards the Old Exhibition.

All traffic going towards Saddar and other colonies shall not be permitted to proceed towards Empress Market from the junction of Preedy Street, Sarmad Road, Preedy Street. M.A. Jinnah Road, Shahrah-i-Liaquat, Court Road, Shahrah-i-Liaquat, Mohammad Bin Qasim Road when the procession reaches the crossing of M.A. Jinnah Road, Mansfield Street.

Similarly, all vehicular traffic proceeding towards Saddar via M.A. Jinnah Road shall not be permitted to proceed from its junction with Preedy Street, Aga Khan Road and Mansfield Street.

No Vehicles shall be permitted to proceed towards M.A. Jinnah Road from the junction of M.A. Jinnah Road or Preedy Street when the procession clears the intersection.

The vehicular Traffic on Aga Khan Road from Zoological Gardens shall not be permitted to proceed towards M.A. Jinnah Road Aga Khan Road, Randle Road (near Anklesaria Hospital).

The Traffic on Martin Road shall flow one-way and shall be permitted to contravene one-way.

The stretch of the road between the junction of Nawab Mahabat Khanji Road, Shidi village Road, Aga Khan Road, Delumel Chela Ram Road will be out of bound to all public trucks, buses, minibuses and motor cycles, rickshaws etc.

No vehicle shall be permitted to park all along the route of the procession. - APP
