LONDON, Nov 4: Two airliners carrying more than 300 people between them collided on the ground at Britain's Manchester Airport on Thursday, airport officials said, although no one was injured.
Just before 1630 GMT, the tail of a Boeing 737 belonging to British budget airline bmibaby clipped the wing of a Boeing 767 from charter flight firm Excel Airways, a Manchester Airport spokesman said.
The Excel plane, carrying 255 passengers, had arrived at the airport in northwest England from London's Gatwick airport en route to Goa, India.
The other plane, carrying 79 passengers and crew, was about to depart, the spokesman added, saying he did not know its destination.-AFP
