KCCI for trade promotion
By Our Staff Reporter
KARACHI, Nov 3: KCCI Acting President Mian Abrar Ahmad has stressed the need for developing more cooperation and coordination between the chamber and foreign consulates.
He said that the KCCI was ready to play its role to bridge the information gap to promote bilateral and multilateral relations.
Addressing the foreign diplomats at the Iftar reception on Wednesday, he called for intensifying trade promotion efforts through exchange of delegations and individual businessmen, holding of single-country exhibitions and exchange of commercial literature.
He said in the era of globalization, the developing countries were required to operate in an uneven playing field. It was essential that the products of the developing countries like Pakistan must be provided more access in the markets of developed countries so that their economies could flourish.
By giving a brief positive outlook of country's economy, he urged the foreign diplomats to persuade their entrepreneurs and businessmen to invest in Pakistan as the economic and political situation have improved significantly.
