JHANG: Flour mill employees looted

JHANG, Nov 2: Two bandits snatched cash and cheques amounting to Rs1.5 million from employees of a flour mills in the Saddar area here on Monday.

Ishaq and Fazal Elahi, the employees of a mills owned by Jhang Tehsil Nazim Shaikh Akram, were going to a bank to deposit Rs500,000 in cash and two cheques amounting to Rs1.05 million when they were intercepted by two armed men near the residences of the Jhang DPO and the Tehsil Nazim. The bandits snatched cash and cheques from them at gunpoint and escaped.

ARRESTED: The Shorkot city police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested three members of a dacoits' gang trying to loot a truck near Haveli Bahadur Shah, 25km from here on Multan Road.

Seven dacoits riding motorcycles intercepted a truck near the Haveli filling station. In the meantime, two filling station guards challenged the dacoits and opened fire on them which they retaliated.

Meanwhile, a police mobile reached there and overpowered three of them.
