KARACHI: Four-year programme at KU


KARACHI, Nov 2: The University of Karachi would be expanding its graduation programmes to four years period from the current three years. This was stated by the Vice-Chancellor, University of Karachi, Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, while talking to APP on Tuesday.

He informed that in the first phase, the four-year graduation programme would be introduced in the evening shift. Admissions to these would be carried out in May next year.

To a question, Dr Pirzada said the chances of appointing two pro-vicechancellors at the varsity were very bright.

The appointments in this respect would be made by the governor, who is also the chancellor of public sector universities in the province, he added.

The VC stated that the HEC had recommended that counselling bureaus be set up at all public sector universities to provide students with guidance as well as counselling on various issues.

ENTRY TEST: The entrance test for admission to BPA (Honours) and MPA would be held on Nov 7, said a press release of the Department of Public Administration, University of Karachi on Tuesday.- APP
