KARACHI: Vacancies in health project to be filled


KARACHI, Nov 1: Adviser to Sindh chief minister on health Faisal Malik said on Monday that vacant posts in the women health project would be filled in soon according to rules, while a suggestion about special incentives to doctors and other medical staff working in the remote areas of the province was also under consideration.

Talking to a delegation of the Asian Development Bank, which called on him at his office, the adviser said steps were being taken to resolve the problems faced by medical staff, so that the desired results in controlling population growth could be achieved.

He said that the posting of doctors and other staff is being made at the places of their domicile and many complaints regarding the matter have been resolved, while the government was taking measures to provide better health-care to the people.

The adviser assured the delegation of his utmost cooperation.

The delegation comprised project implementation officer Sohail Tanveer, project analyst Muzafar Bukhari, project director Sahib Jan Badar and deputy project director Rafiq Ahmed.-PPI
