MIRPURKHAS, Oct 31: A young woman was stripped, beaten and her hair was cut by her relatives on Saturday on the charge of having illicit relations in the Dajero Mori village on Saturday.

Soomro, Dodo, Raza Mohammad and Mohammad Ismail, all Khosos by caste, allegedly kidnapped the woman from the land of Munawar Jatt and took her to a forest where she was stripped, her hair was cut and she was beaten. The accused fled after tying her hands.

Later, the woman reached the Jhuddo police station and lodged a case against Soomro, Dodo, Raza and Ismail. Police have arrested Soomro, Raza and Dodo.

SUICIDE BID: A woman health worker reportedly tried to commit suicide by taking pesticide near the railway office in Railway Colony on Sunday.

The woman, Zahida, wife of Abdul Rasheed Gurgaige, was taken to the civil hospital.

The reason behind the suicide attempt is said to be some domestic problem.
