KARACHI: CM distributes Eid gifts


KARACHI, Oct 31: Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said that Islam is the only religion that accords equal rights to man and woman equal rights.

Addressing a ceremony, organized by the Pakistan Federation of Business and Professional Women (PFBPW) to distribute Eid gifts and ration among poor people here on Sunday, the CM said that the government was providing all opportunities to women in every sector so that the fair gender could play its role in managing the country's affairs.

Appreciating the initiative taken by the PFBPW to serve the poor and needy, he appealed to philanthropists to come forward and help the deserving people.

On this occasion, he announced a grant of Rs0.5 million for the federation and a handing over of a basic health unit in Badin district to facilitate the medical services being rendered by the organization for the needy people of the area.

Later, Dr Arbab distributed clothes for Eid among 100 children and ration packet among as many deserving women. He also presented Eid gifts to the students of various industrial homes.-PPI
