BD judge kept off HC bench

DHAKA, Oct 31: The Chief Justice of Bangladesh has temporarily suspended an additional High Court Judge, Faisal Mahmud Fayezee, in the wake of an allegation that he had tampered with the mark sheet of his LLB certificate.
Chief Justice Syed JR Mudassir Husain announced that the name of the judge had been dropped from the cause list - the list of the daily business of the Supreme Court - and he would not sit on any bench until the allegation is disposed of (by the chief justice).
The CJ also asked senior lawyers of the Supreme Court Bar Association, who met him over the issue on Sunday, to submit the allegations and relevant documents against Fayezee.
