Another milestone for Inzamam

KARACHI, Oct 30: Inzamamul Haq, the Pakistan skipper, who reached 7,000-run-mark in Test cricket on Friday is the ninth fastest to the landmark. Inzamam's 66th run in the 158th innings of his 96th Test enabled him to become the 24th member of the exclusive club
which is dominated by seven Englishmen, six Australians and six West Indians.
The remaining members of the club are two Indians (Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tedulkar), two Pakistanis (Javed Miandad and Inzamam) and one South African (Gary Kirsten).
Inzamam, who went to score 117, also became the 24th player to score 20 or more centuries.
Gavaskar still leads the pack with 34 hundreds, followed by Tendulkar (33) and Steve Waugh (32).
The other members in the 20-centuries club are Don Bradman (29), Alland Border (27), Garry Sobers (26), Brian Lara (26), Greg Chappell (24), Viv Richards (24), Miandad (23), Wally Hammod (22), Mohammad Azharuddin (22), Geoff Boycott (22), Colin Cowdrey (22), Neil Harvey (21), Kirsten (21), David Boon (20), Ricky Ponting (20), Ken Barrington (20), Aravinda de Silva (20), Graham Gooch (20) and Mark Waugh (20).
