LAHORE, Oct 29: A five-wicket burst by medium-pacer Ahmed Hayat enabled Faisalabad to force Lahore Blues to follow-on in Quaid Trophy at Qadhafi Stadium on Friday.
Ahmed sent down 13.5 overs and conceded 32 runs as Lahore Blues were bundled out for 174 while replying to Faisalabad's first innings total of 324 which they scored after resuming in the morning at 284 for six wickets.
Humayun Farhat (56) and Arslan Mir (47) showed defiance for Lahore Blues but they did not receive any support from other batsmen. Lahore Blues after follow-on were 26 for one wicket in the second knock when stumps were drawn for the day. Earlier, leg-spinner Imran Tahir finished with seven wickets for 118.
