QUETTA, Oct 28: Four labour organizations observed a black day here the other day to mark the anniversary of the IRO 2002 and condemn the promulgation of anti-labour laws.

The day was observed as part of the Pakistan Trade Union's defence campaign.

Speakers pledged to continue the struggle for labour rights.

Protesters, who belonged to the People's Labour Bureau, PTCL Union, Youth for International Socialism and members of the Balochistan School Teachers' Union, gathered in front of the local press club.

Malik Imtaiz, Nasir Baloch, Khair Mohammad Shaheen, Abdullah Jan, Nasreen Taj and Sultan Mohammad spoke on the occasion.They denounced what they termed anti-labour laws which they said had been implemented to deprive the working class of their legal rights.
