TIMERGARA, Oct 25: Six people were killed and 11 others sustained injuries after a pick-up truck fell into a ravine in the Sharingal area in Upper Dir district on Monday.

The accident occurred as a non-customs paid four-wheel drive vehicle (PSK-27) was taking some accused and their guarantors from the Kalkot police station to Upper Dir town for bail.

The vehicle skidded off the road at a sharp turn near Shawkanay and plunged into the ravine.

Three of the injured were stated to be in a critical condition at the District Headquarters hospital in Upper Dir.
