ISLAMABAD, Oct 24: Jamaat-i-Islami Deputy Chief (Punjab) MNA Mian Mohammad Aslam has said continuity of democratic process is in the best interest of everybody and no government can impose decisions on the masses under democracy.

Speaking at a meeting of party chiefs of Northern Punjab and other office-bearers, the MMA leader said the Jamaat was getting stronger at organizational, social and political level and now it had emerged as a big political power in the Punjab.

He urged the workers to strive hard to achieve their goals regarding elimination of social and economic imbalance in the society through political means.

Earlier, the quarterly report of organizational activities in Northern Punjab was submitted in the meeting. According to the report, the number of JI members has increased by 15 per cent and the homework has been completed for the forthcoming local bodies polls in all the districts of Northern Punjab.

The meeting decided to hold a training workshop for the JI candidates to train them in organizing and conducting the elections and mass-contact campaigns. It was decided to invite prominent political personalities, social leaders, religious scholars and technocrats from different fields to deliver lectures at the training workshop.
