KARACHI, Oct 18: Sindh Chief Secretary Aslam Sanjrani presided over a high-level meeting here on Monday to consider the lifting of a ban on Aladdin Park imposed under Section-144 some three months back.

City Nazim Naimatullah Khan, GA Secretary Aijaz Hussain Kazi, Law Secretary Ghulam Nabi Shah, Industries Secretary Nasar Hayat, DCO Mir Hussain Ali and representative of the Aladdin Park management Abdullah Habib attended the meeting.

The city nazim spelt out the motive for the imposition of the ban and made his observations with regard to the management's handling of certain affairs which, he said, to be reformed.

Mr Sanjrani specifically advised the management to take appropriate measures to improve the attitude of the labour force deputed at the park as visitors had been expressing their displeasure over its behaviour, particularly in respect of care and safety problems.

He suggested setting up of a 'mishap committee' comprising two members from the city government, one from the park management and the concerned TPO. It was decided that the committee's constitution would be finalized by the city nazim and DCO.

The meeting also decided concluding an agreement, covering all feasible aspects, between the city government and the park management, and restore recreation activities at the amusement park. The three-day time for concluding the agreement could be extended but with the discretion of the city nazim.-PPI
