Munir slams Aziz

By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, Oct 17: The ARD deputy information secretary has criticized Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz for saying that the democratic model of Britain and the US may not suit local environment.

In a statement on Sunday, Munir Ahmad Khan said the statement had proved that Mr Aziz was nothing but a grade 22 officer in the present set-up.

He vowed that the ARD would continue its struggle until true democracy was established and 1973 Constitution restored. He said the anti-Musharraf movement would gain momentum in the days to come.

He chided the parliamentarians who had passed resolutions in favour of Gen Musharraf's uniform. He said these MPs had made through to the parliament with the help of secret agencies and through engineered elections.

These MPs, he said, must remember that the judgment day was not far when no party would be ready to accept them.
