ISLAMABAD, Oct 17: State Minister for Law and Justice Shahid Akram Bhindar has said that the government will soon appoint more judges for speedy trail of cases to ensure provision of quick justice to the masses.

In an interview with the PTV, he said the preparation of courtrooms and residences for judges would be competed in three to four months.

"An increased number of judges will help provide speedy justice to the people, who have to wait long for the decision of their cases," he said.

He said many cases were pending in courts because of shortage of judges. He said the government was taking the issue of providing speedy justice to people seriously.

He said the government was also taking steps to deal with the pending cases urgently.

Replying to a question, he said people stayed away from the courts because of the general impression about delay in getting justice and relief.

Responding to a question, he said granting of bail to women involved in trivial offences was under consideration. -APP
